It is our pleasure to announce that Second Central European Symposium on Plasma Chemistry (CESPC) will be held in Brno, Czech Republic, August 31 – September 4, 2008. It will be organised by the Department of Physical Electronics, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University and by Union of Czech Mathematiciants and Physicists. The Second Central European Symposium on Plasma Chemistry follows the First Central European Symposium on Plasma Chemistry, which was successfully held in Gdańsk, Poland, 27–31 May, 2006 and a series of seven Polish Symposiums on Plasma Chemistry originated in 1971. A special attention will be given to the industrial manufacturing and application aspects of environmentally friendly alternative processes as well as to plasma engineering technologies at atmospheric pressure.

Each participant is invited to prepare – beside an extended abstract – regular paper, which will be considered for publication in a special conference issue of journal Chemicke listy with impact factor 0.5.

Participants are offered convenient accommodation in the hotel Continental (rooms with private bathrooms, WC, full board) in Brno walking distance from the Faculty of Science.

The regular fee includes the participation to the conference, accommodation and full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner), conference proceedings, conference issue of journal Chemicke listy, welcome cocktail, excursion and conference dinner.
